Color Trends 2020 - Hue Minimal

American paint brand Behr released last year their annual forecast for 2020’s color trends. Aimed at residential and commercial settings, their palette showcases 15 quite distinct colors under an overarching theme that tones down their hues.

The soft hues allow for a variety of combinations throughout the palette with some warm and playful options as well as colder and more serious ones. Behr selected their Back To Nature theme as their color of the year for 2020, a combination of light greens, cream and grey which they hope might trigger an emotional connection with the natural world. The lightness of the palette could serve as an interesting background for a variety of settings, different materials, colors and textures both in and outdoors.
